“Torn Paper” Effect and a Melting Hot Day!

Sunday October 15, 2017. A brutally hot day!
I introduced my new technique I call “Torn Paper Effect”.
First I hand paint a very thin layer of clay then cover it with an ultra thin layer of translucent clay, then roll this new layer paper thin. This layer is then torn into tiny pieces which I layer almost as a mosaic. Once again this is rolled paper thin, then cut, baked and finished. This is what you seen in these images.
Each piece reveals itself as either a raku effect or a crackle effect! I then made matching earrings for a completed set. The results were beautiful, and the finished sets will be posted soon!
Always remember that...
